Engines 61, 62 and 63
Three 2009 KME Pumping Engines have been placed in service as Engines 61, 62 and 63, and are located at the corresponding Fire Station location. These engines are designed with all of the latest safety features to meet the current DOT regulations, and are equipped with a full complement of firefighting equipment along with basic vehicle stabilization and hydraulic extrication tools as well as advanced life support (ALS) equipment. Our STFD Engines serve as the basic service delivery platform that enables our personnel to effectively operate as an “All Hazards” Department. The term, “All Hazards” is indicative of the level of training and equipment immediately available to safely and proficiently operate on emergency incident scenes to control fires, deliver ALS care on emergency medical calls, mitigate hazardous materials incidents and provide emergency response and support to both manmade and natural disasters.

However, Truck 64 is also equipped with a full set of hydraulic cutting and spreading rescue tools, heavy duty air lifting bags, heavy duty stabilization struts, emergency lighting and various power saws for cutting, hand tools for prying and forcible entry.
