Measured Level of Service

The Sylvania Township Fire Department maintains an on duty career staffing level capable of responding to two serious, simultaneous emergency medical incidents or one occupied structural fire, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The department provides progressive patient care and fire suppression through four front line apparatus, each equipped with Advanced Life Support (ALS) personnel and equipment. The department is supplemented with qualified part-paid personnel and can conduct callout (paging) of part time or callback of full time emergency response personnel to assist on large-scale operations.
