NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Proposals for the replacement of Sylvania Fire-EMS’s stationary self-contained breathing apparatus filtered air compressor and stationary self-contained fill enclosure will be received no later than 11:00 a.m. EST on October 31, 2022, at Sylvania Fire-EMS Department Headquarters, Fire Station #4, 8210 Sylvania Avenue, Sylvania, Ohio 43560 and opened publicly immediately thereafter.

Specifications and bid documents may be obtained from Sylvania Fire-EMS Department Headquarters, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday or online at www.sylvaniatownship.com.  All questions regarding the bid specifications, bid documents or bid procedures should be directed to Assistant Chief Christopher Nye at Sylvania Fire-EMS

All bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “Air Compressor / Fill Station”.  Bids must be accompanied by complete descriptive matter and a completed and signed contract attachment, non-collusion affidavit, non-discrimination affidavit and no findings for recovery affidavit that are provided with the specifications.  Bids received after the scheduled bid opening date and time will neither be read nor considered and will be returned unopened to the bidder.

Each proposal shall contain the full name of each person submitting the bid and must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee and Contract Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid using AIA Document A310 (the successful bidder will be required to provide a payment and performance bond), or a certified check, cashier’s check, or letter of credit in the amount of 10% of the bid, which will require a 100% Performance Bond upon award of the contract. Bonds will be returned to unsuccessful bidders within thirty (30) days of the contract award.  Bonds will be returned to the successful bidder within thirty (30) days of either receipt of goods or completion of work, or both where applicable.

Sylvania Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any irregularities in bidding.

No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of sixty (60) days after bid opening.
