2022 Road Work

As summer approaches, the Township is planning various resurfacing, drainage, and road maintenance projects. FISCAL UPDATE

Dave Simko, Sylvania Township Fiscal Officer, reviewed the Township’s budget during the May 17 regular meeting with approximately one-third of the fiscal year having passed. “It is early, but we are not expecting anything unusual to come along. DRUG TAKE BACK DAY

Sylvania Township police collected about 82 lbs. of potentially dangerous prescription medications during the recent Drug Take-Back Day, coordinated locally by the Sylvania Prevention Alliance. Zone Change Disapproved

The Sylvania Township Board of Trustees unanimously disapproved a request for a change in zoning at the intersection of Sylvania Avenue and McCord Road during a May 3 meeting. The zone change would have changed the zoning at the subject 1.65-acre parcel from Agricultural (A3) and Neighborhood Commercial (C1) to Highway and General Commercial (C2).
