Sylvania Township Road Department provides several types of maintenance services such as; snow removal, traffic signs, storm sewers, right of ways, road repair, roadside mowing, brush, and leaf pickup. Please report damaged traffic signs to 419-882-0031, ext. 1503. The Township Road Department maintains Township residential roads.

- Road department personnel maintain a Class A Commercial Driver License and have completed the 10-Hour OSHA Construction Course, and ODOT Snow & Ice Control Course. Department personnel maintains various licenses, certificates, and skillsets through ODOT, the Department of Agriculture, and private agencies.
Equipment
The road department consists of a 45-piece fleet inventory that includes eight (8) heavy-duty dump trucks, four (4) light-duty dump trucks, a street sweeper, a paving machine, a backhoe tractor, a front end loader, and numerous other pieces of equipment valued at $3.18 million.
