Oliver Turner

Oliver Turner began his employment as Sylvania Township Administrator in May 2019. He has previously served as the City Manager for Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and as Village Manager for the Village of Almont, Michigan.
Turner obtained his Master of Public Administration Degree as well as his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Toledo. He has a strong commitment to fostering transparency, accountability, responsiveness, and excellence in service delivery. Turner is an ICMA Credential Manager and also maintains an open-door policy that encourages feedback from citizens and stakeholders regarding services.
Turner currently serves on the OTA Coalition of Large Ohio Urban Townships Executive Committee, the Lucas County Land Bank Board of Directors and the TMACOG Finance, Audit & Administration Committee. During his public service in Michigan, he served as Chairperson of the Michigan Municipal Executives Ethics Committee and as a Michigan Municipal League Board Trustee.
Turner currently lives in Sylvania Township. He believes that public managers are duty bound to serve their home communities and its elected officials with integrity, honesty, and pragmatism.

Throughout her Human Resources career, starting in 2007, Lula has gained experience in HR Operations with a strong focus in, Benefit Administration, Health & Wellness Programs, Full-Cycle Recruitment, Training & Development, and HRIS.
Lula maintains an open-door policy, exhibits an employee-oriented approach, and sees wellness as holistic. She is committed to the overall well-being of the team and encourages on-going development, training, and education.
She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Trine University and currently resides in Toledo with her family.
